Block the Cuts and Build Long Beach
A community-driven initiative to protect Long Beach from federal cuts and invest in housing stability, emergency response, and neighborhood infrastructure.
The Challenge Facing Long Beach
Long Beach is facing growing pressure on the systems our communities rely on. Locals are feeling the pressure of rising housing costs, strained emergency services, and aging infrastructure that needs urgent investment. Now, looming federal cuts threaten the funding for services meant to keep our communities safe and stable.
Block the Cuts and Build Long Beach is a community-driven initiative written by local organizations and firefighters to protect Long Beach from looming federal cuts while investing in the services our neighborhoods depend on. The measure would create a dedicated local funding source to strengthen emergency response, support housing stability, and repair critical infrastructure across the city.
