Housing Authority Bureau for the City of Long Beach administers housing assistance subsidies, housing choice vouchers, and rental housing assistance programs. These programs are designed to provide financial assistance to individuals or families, allowing participants to find housing that works best for their needs.

Multi-Service Center provides homeless support services for people in Long Beach. Services include basic amenities of shower, laundry, mail and message center, van shuttle, medical care, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, HIV/AIDS services, integrated case management, and housing coordination.

Meals on Wheels of Long Beach (MOWLB) provides a service of home delivered nutritionally balanced meals for individuals who are unable to shop and cook for themselves and who live alone. Meals are available to all Long Beach area residents, regardless of age. Meals are served Mondays through Fridays and referrals are taken from doctors, hospital staff, social workers, ministers, clients, family or friends.
